A note from Andy
A few of my favourites
Over the past couple of weeks, we’ve been trying some autumn seasonal dishes in the showroom – and if there’s one thing that everyone enjoys, it’s the smell of something slow-cooked filling the room!

We’ve had chicken casserole bubbling away, a vegetable chilli (that disappeared in record time), and even a beef bourguignon that had people asking for seconds.
This is the season when a proper range cooker really shines.
And it’s one of my personal favourites because it brings with it some of my favourite dishes…
Ox cheek stew, hot pots, mushroom soup, chicken, leek and mushroom pie, sticky toffee pudding…
All the things that make up for the days being a little shorter and the evenings a bit colder!
That’s what this time of year is all about for me. Slow cooking. Proper comfort food. Dishes that don’t demand much from you but somehow give back tenfold when it’s time to eat.
You can find a couple of my favourites here:
• A classic chicken casserole
• Ox cheek stew
They’re all simple, hearty, and taste even better for being cooked on a proper range cooker. That gentle, even heat does the work for you while the kitchen fills with the wonderful aromas of autumn.
