A note from Andy

Don’t make this mistake in January

A holiday. An extension. A kitchen renovation…

These are the things people think about in January.

And after 35 years in the business, I also always see the same mistake being made this time of year…

Someone decides to renovate their kitchen. They plan out their entire kitchen, choosing the cabinets, the worktops, the layout…

And then, right at the end, they think about the cooker.

But that’s when the compromises start.

Because a range cooker isn’t just another appliance. It influences everything else:
• Widths
• Clearances
• Electrics
• Flues
• Worktop heights

If you choose it last, you’re often trying to force something important into whatever space is left.

So, I’ll get questions that sound like:

“Could this fit?”
“Is this realistic in our space?”
“Have you got a cooker that will work with this?”

But all of these problems can be avoided when the cooker is considered early rather than squeezed in at the end.

So, if a kitchen renovation is one of your 2026 goals, please don’t leave the important decision until last, <<FIRSTNAME>>.

You can avoid any regret later simply by popping down to the showroom to take a look in person.

Just seeing the sizes in real life, comparing colours properly, and getting honest answers before plans are fixed will make sure you understand what will (and won’t) work in your space.

I’m always happy to talk things through. Even if you’re just exploring and your final decision is still months away.
