A note from Andy
How important is this to you?
For some people, colour is the most important thing.

They won’t care what car they drive so long as it’s black. Or they’ll spend more time looking at paint swatches than actually painting the walls.
And over the years, I’ve seen customers walk into the showroom, spot their shade, and instantly imagine their whole kitchen refurb around it before even knowing what cooker they want!
So, this month has been a bit exciting (for me, anyway)...
For the first time in at least 3+ years, ESSE have added FOUR new colours to their range.
That takes their enamel palette from six to ten. And I have to say, they’ve done a cracking job.
The new additions are:
• Matt Black – a modern take on a timeless favourite, subtle and sophisticated
• Matt Anthracite – imagine a softer, smokier take on dark grey
• Classic Green – a rich, heritage tone, back by popular demand
• Penumbra – a deep, atmospheric grey that bridges traditional and contemporary design
We’ve just had a brand-new ESSE colour board delivered to the showroom (currently propped proudly behind me), and for the first time, I’ve got proper take-home samples too…
So if you're planning a new kitchen, or just daydreaming about one, you can now see exactly how each colour looks in your own space and lighting.
Also worth a mention: Gill Meller – chef, food writer, and a regular guest on Channel 4’s River Cottage – recently went for a Matt Black ESSE for his kitchen. And if it’s good enough for Gill…
Anyway, if you’re in the middle of kitchen planning and wondering what shade will actually feel right (not just look good in a brochure), pop by and have a look.
