I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those freezing winter evenings are around the corner.

I had one customer in today who was dreading them...

He's got a cooker and boiler rolled into one.

This Central Heating Cooker has been with him through thick and thin, but recently, it's started to show its age...

At 30 years old, the Central Heating Cooker's best days are behind it and it could go at any moment.

And that's the last thing you want this time of year.

Imagine Christmas Day without a cooker and heating!

Anyway, he started to notice the warning signs...

The hot water was not getting as hot as it used to, the heating worked sporadically and the ovens never quite reached temperature.

So, he's faced with the dilemma we've all had at some point:

Repair or replace?

I know investing in a new range cooker is a big commitment...

But it's a commitment to the next 30 years of reliable, cosy winters and amazing family meals.

And in this case...

When the alternative is a 30-year-old cooker that's a flicker away from leaving you out in the cold, I know which one I'd rather have!
