There's been a bit of an unusual theme in the showroom lately...
More and more people are asking about cookers for their second kitchens.
Not because they’ve got a basement flat to rent out or a summer cottage somewhere…
It’s because they’re building something in the garden.
A proper outdoor kitchen.
And I don’t mean a BBQ and a fridge. They’re often serious set-ups. Think canopies, counters, sinks, the lot.
If you haven’t come across them before, Google garden kitchen and you’ll see what I mean.
And so, I thought it was a topic worth bringing up to you.
If you’ve been thinking something along those lines – whether it’s a garden kitchen or perhaps a quiet off-grid homestead somewhere – there are two cookers perfect for the job.
Simple, compact, and designed for off-grid living.
While it’s the smallest in the ESSE range, it still has a wide hotplate and a generously sized oven that’s completely wood-fired.
There’s even a glass door, so you can watch the flames while the kettle bubbles away.
Great for shepherd’s huts, garden rooms, or remote cabins.
A step up in size.
You get a 32-litre oven, a hotplate with the heat reducing from 300°C in the centre down to 190°C at the outside and it also takes logs of up to 400mm (15in) in length.
It’s perfect for warming a space while cooking dinner, especially in holiday cottages or garden rooms that need to work all year round.
Both of these cookers are 100% off-grid…
No electricity needed. Just wood, fire, and a bit of patience.
So, if you’ve thought about taking your own kitchen outdoors, let me know if you need any advice on picking a cooker that’s suited to it.
Warm regards,
Andy
P.S. Do you have a garden kitchen already?
