“How long does it take to get one of these cookers delivered?”

And it’s a fair question.

We’re so used to getting next-day delivery these days that hearing you might have to wait 12 or even 20 weeks can feel a bit shocking.

But there’s a good reason for that.

You’re not buying a stock-standard cooker in a cardboard box.

You’re buying something that’s made to order. Built by hand. Often in a village that’s been doing it for generations, whether it’s Lacanche in Burgundy or Everhot in the Cotswolds.

Here’s what you’re really waiting for…

Built by people, not robots

Everything from the cast iron doors to the enamel finish is handled by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing. No conveyor belts. No corners cut.

Unique to you

You choose the colour. The trim. The fuel type. The hob layout. Whether you want something quietly classic or a bold centrepiece, it’s built to your spec – not what’s sitting in a warehouse.

Performance tested (properly) before it ships

Every cooker is checked, tested, and double-checked before it leaves the factory. These are machines built to last decades. And that kind of reliability doesn’t come from a rush job.

So yes – there’s a bit of a wait.

But as I always say, you’ll have this cooker long enough to forget the lead time ever bothered you. And I’ve had more than a few customers tell me it was worth the wait.
