This won't matter to everyone, but...

Here's something you might not expect to hear from a cooker showroom:

Some of the models I sell are made with sunshine.

I don't mean that in a poetic way. I mean it literally.

They're powered by the sun during production.

I'm mainly referring to two British manufacturers I've worked with for years:

Everhot and ESSE.

Both have been turning their factories into little renewable power stations.

At Everhot, they've been using water power since the '70s. But these days, their mill in the Cotswolds is kitted out with solar panels, a heat pump, a water turbine and even a battery bank to store power overnight. On sunny days, they generate more electricity than they use.

Up at ESSE, they've gone and installed 1,200 solar panels on the roof of their foundry in Lancashire. It now helps power everything from laser-cutting to welding and painting.

And what I really love is that they made no big song and dance over that fact. They simply wanted to do things better.

Now, I know to most people, stuff like this doesn't factor into the equation when they're deciding on a product. And I don't blame them…

But if you're already looking at Everhot or ESSE, I personally think it's nice to know you're supporting people who actually give a damn.

Because yes, these cookers look great, cook beautifully, and will probably outlive your kitchen…

But they're also made by teams trying to do right by the world. Not just today, but for decades down the line.

So if you're thinking about solar at home, or just like the idea of buying from people who care about what they make and how they make it, I've got both cookers running live in the showroom.

Pop in if you'd like a look.

Warm regards,

Andy

P.S. Everhot's especially good if you're going solar at home – it sips power and works brilliantly with domestic panels. If you want the full details, just let me know.
