The Lacanche UK team were recently given a rather unusual challenge, at least compared to their regular day-to-day work.

They were asked to bake a cake…

A wedding cake...

For the sales director’s daughter.

No pressure then!

They filmed the whole thing (which you can watch below), and I have to say, it came out beautifully.

The layers were lemon drizzle, chocolate fudge, and vanilla, all evenly baked in the Lacanche – and they made it look easy!

Now, this story is excellent because I think it sums up Lacanche pretty well...

Yes, they spend hours upon hours meticulously hand-building their cookers, handling all aspects with the utmost precision…

But they’re also about the moments that matter:

Cooking for friends.
Baking with the kids.

Or, in this case, pulling off a wedding cake that’ll be remembered long after the last slice was eaten.

To me, they’re just a down-to-earth company who have never lost their way.
